SMC 1225TX/LP 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet PCI Card
The SMC1255TX/LP is the most affordable 10-BASE-T/100BASE-TX PCI card on the market today. This 32-bit PCI card is completely auto-configurable at power-up through the host computer's BIOS setup program. It supports 32-bit data transfers and early receive and transmit interrupts to supercharge your network while eliminating I/O bottlenecks. It also features bus-master architecture to reduce CPU utilization and increase throughput. This dual-speed card supports auto-negotiation for automatic line speed detection. Delivering pug-and-play simplicity, connect the card to an Ethernet hub or switch, and it operates at 10Mbps. For additional bandwidth, connect the card to a Fast Ethernet device, and it automatically operates at 100Mbps. Featuring Remote LAN Wakeup, the SMC1255TX/LP allows administrators to manage desktop resources effectively, even with remote locations. An optional Boot ROM socket provides additional flexibility by allowing network booting from diskless workstations.
