Fujitsu (MAP3367NC) 36GB Ultra320 SCSI/SCA2/LVD 80-Pin
An optimal blend of performance and capacity.
Fujitsu MAP series disk drives combine a number of innovative technologies to achieve high performance and high capacity. The combination of seventh-generation Giant Magneto-Resistive Head (GMR) technology and Fujitsu group's Synthetic Ferri-coupled media produce an industry-leading, 38.4 Gb/sq. in. areal density. So, the MAP series can store 36.7 GB of data in a 1-inch-high disk drive. What's more, standard 8-MB buffers with 32-bit data paths, 10K rotational speeds, and advanced Ultra320 SCSI and FC-AL2 interfaces improve data access, reduce average seek time to 4.5 msec, and boost host data transfer rates to a maximum of 320 MB/s (212.5 MB/s for FC-AL2). A fast internal data transfer rate of up to 106.9 MB/s and dual-processor architecture also help MAP series drives keep up with high loads and multi-tasking applications. And the 36.7 MAP drive uses Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) technology for quieter performance.
